Cross over into orthorexia

Hi Brooke,

Are there tell-tale signs that ones crossed into orthorexia (an obsession with eating foods that one considers healthy)?

My commitment to losing the last 10 pounds and daily consumption of information on the best protocols (“leaders” in the vegan, paleo, low-carb & ketonic, IF spaces) is at an all-time high. At 51, peri-menopausal, I have never been so challenged with reducing my weight and I am attacking the problem as best I can on multiple angles – sleep, stress management, exercise and food. I an trying, tweaking, augmenting on a consistent basis. I am working daily on my beliefs, my feelings and a massive action plan which includes tracking my macros, with a particular emphasis high quality fat, 6-8 cups of vegs that allows me to achieve daily net carbs of <50g (targets of 35g of fiber); plus cycling IF days.

I have a call with Katrina tomorrow to discuss the specifics. However, all of this “massive action” and focus is making me wonder if this goal is getting to be an obsession. And if so, does this matter?!
