making offers as a coach

You answered another question from a beginning coach who needed to start with getting clients by saying something like: “How many offers are you making? Double that. 10 times that. Make offers, get some clients, invest the money you make in advertising.” As a beginner, my foundational question is what do you mean by make offers? How, exactly, is it best to go about doing that? One person at a time? How much to tell them about what coaching is and what I can provide? Etc. Talk to me like I’m a fourth grader, please 🙂
