I am currently planning my wedding and yesterday I felt a lot of stress and overwhelm doing the work. I first felt upset that I was stressed and judged myself. Then I attempted to stop and tell myself “this is what stress feels like” I noticed I was very tight and edgy. This worked a little bit better to help relieve the stress. But should I even be trying to relieve it? How do I recognize overwhelm and stress as any other emotion? I am wondering when I do feel overwhelm or stress how can I not resist it?
