i have had an ongoing tape running along the lines of “i want to die” when stressful events occur

i spent many many years trying to help myself with that…its been around since i was about 5…but it only just occurred to me now …

That.I must have been very, very hurt at some time in my life to adopt that phrase.

I have been very clear that i dont want to die…

“I want to die” really means…”I feel very hurt”

so…this question is probably obvious…do i need to work on becoming resilient, not very hurtable?

how do we attach to others but become resilient and unhurtable?
