BLOG NICHE

Hi! First, I want to say thank you for this part of Self Coaching Scholars, I’m so grateful for the extra support. I need help with my niche. I’ve been wanting to start a blog for about 6 years now and this is my goal for the year and I’m believing it more and more every day. I have been wobbling back and forth on my niche for a really long time now and it’s stopping my progress. I started the narrowing your niche worksheet and got past the first question. Which was really helpful by the way! It’s so simple. I didn’t have a market in those three areas and so I’ve switched to health market which is the one I relate to the most.

I’m hung up on step #2 because I don’t have any expertise really just my own interests. I feel like I’m not qualified to help people. I have basic interests in organizing, minimalism, health food, mental health, self love, travel. I actually have a lot of random interests. But they’re all things I’m still learning about in my own life. For example, I like mental health but I’m still going to therapy. I like health food but I eat cookies and hamburgers still. And I’ve been having some health issues so I need to go to the doctor and figure out what’s happening. I still have so far to go in these areas in my own life. I don’t know if travel fits into health but it’s something I love. I’m still really critical of myself but I do self love exercises every day and making baby steps forward. Do I just pick something? I feel like a fraud and I’m not sure how to move forward if I need to get more education before I start this. Then that just feels like I’m consuming more and not creating.

My other overwhelm is it’s such a broad topic, if I were to pick something how do I narrow that down into a sub niche like ‘weight loss for doctors’? My mind explodes a little when I think about narrowing something down. There are so many options and nothing that I’m an expertise in so I’m not sure how to start narrowing. I just feel stuck right now need help completing this worksheet. Thank you so much for everything. I just joined self coaching in January and feel like it’s already making a difference in my life.
