C new commission for a new client

I’m a freelancer. I’ve got a new commission for a new client.

I feel: lost, under pressure, overwhelmed, confuse, afraid, anxious, depressed.

I think: I don’t know what to do.
It’s not organized. It’s a mess.
I’m gonna be late.
I will produce a bad result.
I have to work a lot to be good enough.
I have to do something good.

UIM
C new commission for a new client
T I have to do something good.
F pressure
A I ruminate, I imagine doing something badly, the client being unhappy, the public not liking it, I criticize my Circumstances (« there is not enough time or info »)
R I create something bad ahead of time

IM
C new commission for a new client
T I might do something good
F open
A I imagine things going well, my meetings going well, the result being good, I plan and put the work in a calendar, I ask questions to understand what the client wants, I listen, I smile, I ask for help, I am aware of what’s in my control and what’s not in my control, I do the job
R I set myself up for success

I really like this intentional thought. I feel more open and more relaxed. This is a real shift.

Then I thought: « Who decides if it’s something good or not? »
My answer: It’s the client.
« What are the criteria for something good? »
I’ve made a list of things that I imagine are important for them, that they want.
But I could ask them directly what they want.

I wrote a new model:
C new commission for a new client
T I want to be at the service of the client
F committed
A ask questions, listen, implement what they say in my work, ask for feedback, correct and modify
R I am at the service of the client

Thank you for your feedback!!
