CIRCUMSTANCE – Initial call with new potential client

I would love your help on the R and flushing out an intentional model for this situation:

C:  Initial call with new potential client
T:  I need to get this client
F:  Desperate
A:  Show up nervous, focus on me more than them, talk too much, rush through my pitch, don’t listen enough, don’t hold space
R:  ???

I’m having trouble connecting the R to the T.  The real result is I don’t get the client, but that doesn’t seem connected to me.

Intentional Model:

C:  Initial call with new potential client
T:  I add value to my clients
F:  confident
A:  explain how I add value, give examples, confidently share my fees
R:  I show my client how I add value (and I have a new client?)

Would I not add the part in parenthesis because that is dictated by the client? I only have control over showing the value, but they have control over deciding to work with me.  Thank you.
