The answer I received was: “We teach that our purpose in life is to exist, and you get to decide how you want to spend your time existing. If there were no right or wrong decisions, and if both choices ended up great, which one would you choose?”
And I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m meant to do for my career. I know that I’ve spent 7 years in marketing and can continue to make a living in my industry but I don’t know what I would choose if “both options end up great.” There just isn’t anything that I feel a strong calling to do for my career and I guess that is the root of my question. I know some people feel very differently and that they were made to do something… be a doctor, a life coach, etc.
So, for someone like me, how do I uncover that? I’m in my mid 30s and have worked my whole life. I have been successful in retail, as a real estate agent, as a bartender, a manager, as a marketing business owner… but nothing seems like “ah-ha. this is the work of my life.”
thanks again,
