Painkiller vs. Vitamin

I have two possible niches around marriage and money. The first is targeting just married couples and teaching them how to communicate and combine finances together. The second is couples who have been married for a longer period who are fighting about money so much so that it’s starting to ruin their relationship. I prefer the first but it’s less “urgent”. I know that’s a thought 😉 but in marketing-speak, I have heard the terms “painkiller vs. vitamin” and how it’s easier to sell a painkiller where there’s more urgency and need than a vitamin that’s more of a “nice to do” but not necessary (yet).

Are they both good niches and I should just decide, or is one more strategically better than the other? I know that I can make either work but would love your insight – thanks!
