Potential clients going mute after they hear the price

Hello and all the best for 2019.

During the last couple of weeks I got at least 6 potential clients message me on facebook or email asking about my program. I try not to give them prices until they have their first mini-session however sometimes they ask directly and I feel the obligation to give them the answer. As soon as they heard about the price they went completely mute, not even a complain about the price or a message letting me know they cannot afford it, just MUTE.

Will it be best to avoid at all costs to give them prices until I have them on the phone? I am not ashamed of what I charge as I believe it is fair and a great value.
