Showing up for a job you don’t love


Hi, I currently work in an environment I don’t want to be in anymore. However, while I’m getting my own business off the ground, I am keeping my job to pay the bills. I like all my coworkers and the pay is good, I’m just not very passionate about the job anymore.

I find that now when I go to work, I’m not as present. It’s hard for me to concentrate and not think about my own business goal. This causes me to not produce as good of results while I’m there. I also even find myself wanting to work on my business while at my job, which is not ok.

How do I put my full effort into my job while working on my business? I still want to be the best employee I can be in the meantime.
