The Value of a Website 2

> What do you get to avoid by believing this thought?

I get to avoid overwhelm, vulnerability, fear, anxiety, self-doubt, shame. I get to avoid potential failure if I try to build a business and I fail. I also get to avoid success. I get to avoid the discomfort of learning how to sell myself and my offer to my clients. I get to avoid the discomfort of putting myself out there to the world. I get to avoid the discomfort of my clients not liking my work or being unsatisfied and me taking that personally. I get to avoid the imagined other people’s opinions that I think they have of me when I write blog posts or send newsletters. I get to avoid the discomfort of figuring out how to manage my time and client projects. I get to avoid the discomfort of figuring out how to manage business finances. I get to avoid the discomfort of figuring out how to form an LLC. I get to avoid the discomfort of potentially breaking someone’s website. I get to avoid the discomfort of me telling me I hate myself. I get to avoid the discomfort of figuring out how to design for print. I get to avoid the discomfort of someone telling me no. I get to avoid the discomfort of someone giving me “negative” feedback. I get to avoid the discomfort of disappointing my clients. I get to avoid the discomfort of making mistakes. I get to avoid the discomfort of not believing in myself.

Damn. Okay. All of these things I’ve gotten coached on before. So good to see.
