I understand the concept that we will experience “positive” and “negative” emotions 50% of the time. But I’m having trouble reconciling that with the concept that our thoughts control our emotions. It seems that with more thought management and coaching (by ourselves and others), we should be able to shift those proportions. In other words, the thought that we will experience both “negative” and “positive” emotions 50% of the time takes our power away. How do you reconcile this?
