Ditching To Do List…

I listened to Brooke’s podcast on ditching the To Do list – and I could literally write for days on stuff that I need/should/want to get done (so the Sunday night/Monday morning download doesn’t really cover it – I tried but had to quit to do the day job, so didn’t even get to the prioritizing on paper part of it). Tons of items on the calendar – some of it I can do if I make the time, other items I can’t do without $$ – are you still supposed to list those? I can’t really put them on the calendar if I don’t have the money to do them (mostly items that need to be fixed on the house) but some items that have to do with the impossible goal(s). Or am I just supposed to be trying to budget for them and listing that as an obstacle? My thought is that it’s daunting and the feeling is fatigued versus energized. I did do a bunch of projects on the house this summer and have a couple of more projects in the works but had to finance one of them to make it work. My thought is, “I’m doing this wrong – but the family and I will enjoy the space more.” Brooke told me on the one call that I was coached live that she thought I was ‘bathing in negativity’ – not sure how to respond to that? And I’m having a difficult time focusing/acting from a place where I’ve already accomplished my impossible goals. Are there tips to visualizing it – I heard one gal said she visualized it down to the last detail.
