Double Diamond Retreat "Hangover"

First, I have to tell you how awesome the Double Diamond Retreat in Lake Tahoe was!!!! Thank you to the SCS team, well done! I got so much out of it, from Brooke and the other coaches and attendees, really glad I decided to attend and feeling blessed to have been a part of it.

I certainly had some “ah-has” during the retreat. I came home with the best of intentions to put some new things in practice.

And then, a few days later, I got extreme anxiety. Close to a panic attack. Trouble breathing, focusing, getting work done… Had not had this level of anxiety in almost 3 years. It came on suddenly and it’s been with me for several days. This is the complete opposite of how I thought I would be feeling and acting after such an amazing retreat!

I’ve gotten coached on it and it’s helped some and I am practicing allowing the anxiety.

I was curious though if this sort of “retreat hangover” is common? And, is there a shortcut to getting over it?
