I want to feel proud


So I just received a certification I’d been working on. I was hoping to feel happy when I received it, but it didn’t feel good at all. I mostly felt anxious. I’ve been working really hard at accepting negative feelings, and have even spent a lot of time practicing them. Being able to deal with negative feelings has helped me to lose 15 pounds this year. But I don’t have positive feelings about the weight loss, either. My thoughts about both things is that I still have a long ways to go, which produces anxiety.

I am doing the negative feelings, and now I want more positive ones. I’m just having a hard time finding thoughts that produce those positive feelings.
