It’s OK to feel bad?

That’s what you’ve been trying to teach me these past 10-12 years? Really?

Today’s models. I want this to stick. Besides practicing the thought, any other advice?

C — “It’s OK to feel bad.”

T — No! It’s terrible! I should be able to make myself and everyone else happy!

F — resistant (indulgent emotion)

A — eat cashews, argue with C (thought), judge myself as a failure, loath myself

R — I make no one happy.

C — “It’s OK to feel bad.”

T — Yes, it is OK, even desirable to feel bad.

F — accepting

A — allow and process negative feelings, be kind to myself and others, see the freedom it allows.

R — I feel bad and learn to get good at it.
