Making The Brain More Valuable

Mind blown from podcast #259! and a question:

I personally don’t have a need to lose weight (so I do eat flour and sugar) or issue with drinking alcohol (so I do drink) but I do wonder if Brooke takes into account the substances we fuel our bodies with, that might enhance brain function or compromise it, when she refers to how can we increase the value of our brain.
Because it got me thinking, while I don’t care for losing weight, I do reckon the ways in which alcohol and processed carbs affect my brain. They make it foggy for couple of hours, and so during this time, I have less than optimal ability to use it.

Does it make sense to add to Brooke’s list (knowledge, skills, and thought management), also removing any substances that may compromise its function ability?
