Processing emotion

I listened to the Feb 2018 diamond training about processing emotions. It was so helpful for me to really understand the process.

My question is … then what? At what point do we start to work on the thought, and come up with a new one to move ahead. I’m dealing with some heavy emotions lately, and find that I could just spend all day “processing emotions”. But I do need to move on with my day. How does this act of feeling and processing fit in with Brooke’s idea of picking up that heavy purse, and generating a new thought to go from anxious to amazing? I feel like I know the answer, but am getting worried that I’m not feeling my feelings enough before I move on and just using the model and new thoughts to escape the negative feeling. How do we know?
