Question about your answer to "Husband’s Ex-Wife"


After reading the post titled “Husband’s Ex-Wife” I have a question regarding your response —

How can you identify when someone is choosing thoughts to make themselves feel better about a Circumstance as opposed to truly understanding the cause of the problem?

Is it because the new thought isn’t creating the result he/she is looking for?

I have noticed a number of times, either during coaching calls or in Ask Brooke, where you identify this and suggest further self questioning to get to the source of the discomfort/pain/problem and I am so intrigued about this.
