Thanks for your previous answer. I’ve been thinking about that poisonous thought, as you suggested and I’ve realised that there are lots of downsides to it for only one advantage: I’m always doing things. And it’s important to me because it seems to justify my presence on earth. If I’m always doing things, it means I deserve to be here, I’m bringing something, I’m contributing…
I know you say that we deserve to be here because we are, period, but I guess that there are some steps between knowing and believing… I feel guilty when I don’t do anything for others, for my students, my family…
But now I think of it, I’m wondering if I could also act without being so agitated. In French, the two words sound similar: “agir, agiter”. Strange!
