Work environment

When people complain about their work environment, whether they are a boss or an employee, they seem to blame it on the people, places and things being “toxic”.

I know Brooke talks about there being no such thing as a “toxic” person or environment so when someone is having an issue with where they work or who they work with it seems that they are just in emotional childhood.

So a boss is responsible for creating their own work environment and their employees are responsible for creating theirs?

I know that a boss is responsible for being clear about the expectations and consequences and communicating them to their employees but also allowing everyone to be responsible for their own work experience while being compassionate and supportive; this seems to be the best way to lead people.

And when employees gossip and complain about their employer or coworkers then they are stuck in victim mode.

Does that sound right? Is there anything you can add?
