Do I need to change something in my Protocol or be patient?

I started with a protocol that included potatoes and sweet potatoes (as well as meat and salad) and I found on the days I ate these either I did not lose any weight or put it on. So after 2 weeks, I changed my protocol so I am only eating salad and meat for lunch and dinner. I have 226g (8oz) of Salad and 113g (4oz) Meat and 1 tablespoon of Avocado for both lunch and dinner and I drink 2 litres of water each day (8 glasses). I am only eating between 12 pm and 8 pm. My meat consists of Nitrate Free Ham (no chemicals), Grilled Free Range Chicken or Tined Tuna. The salad mainly leaves with things like tomatoes, carrot beetroot and the occasional small amounts of Feta Cheese or Olives. I also have a small drizzle of dressing (not much at all). I also drink about 4 cups of decaf coffee with milk (only between 12 pm and 8 pm).

The first day I started I lost 1kg (2.2pounds), which I am assuming was mainly water and since then (1 week) the scales have either gone up or down 0.1kg (0.22 pounds) and so I am still sitting on the same weight. Is this normal and it will most likely go down again or do I need to change my protocol again? I saw you mentioned in a post that they needed more fat, is this maybe the issue? Happy to stick with it and be patient but thought I would ask in case I need to change something. I am 47 years old, going through menopause and need to lose about 30kg (66pounds). This is my 3rd try at this and I seem to have my urges under control, I just need to get the food right.

Thanks for any help you can give me to make sure I am on track.
