My question is about the LCS.
Will you be educating staff, team, coaches about anti-racism approaches? Discuss white privilege and white fragility? Will you talk about the terms – racism, white supremacy, implicit bias? Cultural appropriation? Microaggressions? Model minority? Institutional racism? White supremacy culture? White Rage? Reparations? Address the common refrain from whites – esp white suburban women – ‘I don’t see color’ ? Will you highlight black coaches and the black experience without burdening them to do your ‘work’ to educate yourselves about racism?
I think there’s more we can all do in this regard. Be a leader and take this on. Respectfully submitted…
