A Fancy Job

I want to be a life coach. I want to get certified through TLCS.

Currently, I have a full-time job with no benefits and I make enough to save $50 after a check. If nothing changes it’ll take me years to save enough to go the school.

Rather than look for a second job, I’ve decided to look for a new job.

There is a position in my current field – I’ve been an Admin Assistant (and other titles for different flavors of manager) for the last 7-8 years, and now there is a position as a Senior Executive Assistant at a Fortune 500 company (they are in the 200s), with amazing workplace reviews and I want to apply but I’m hesitating because I’m terrified that I couldn’t cut it if I got the job. Looking at the description, the position is just a more “executive” level of what I’ve been doing.

I think the worst-case scenario would be getting hired, then being a disappointment, but obviously the absolute worst-case scenario would ACTUALLY be not applying and missing the opportunity to be hired, rising to a higher level required to meet the needs of the position, making possibly $20-30k more in a year, having health insurance, saving the money for LCS, GOING to LCS, becoming a life coach, then using the experience for fuel in my life coaching.

How can I focus my thoughts differently?
