What to do when the adult brain gets tired

Hi Brooke,

When the adult brain gets tired, it wants to take a break.

And I know that it’s okay to do that – in fact we should plan on it.

But it feels like when the adult brain takes a nap, no matter how much I planned ahead of time, that child brain comes out and play.

And it’s all good except that when the adult brain wakes up, it goes to self critique and thoughts like: “Well, why was I not awake for that?”

What new thoughts or plans can I have so that the adult brain CAN take a break and not become self-deprecating?

Thank you!
