Does Brooke’s & The Life Coach School recognize alcoholism as a disease, and something that requires treatment beyond life coaching and other thought work? I’ve been sober for a few months with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and I can’t help but wonder if I had learned about Brooke’s “Stop Overdrinking” program first, if that would have worked too. Was I was just buffering with alcohol? How do you know?
I will say, that when I was drinking, there was a powerlessness that overtook my entire mind, life, body and soul that seems to have lifted by giving up drinking. I’m struggling with my thoughts around this because there is no hard and fast definition of an “alcoholic”. Any insight would be super helpful. Thanks!!
