All Sold Out

Honestly, I’m not exactly sure what my question is…

I guess I would just like help on changing my thinking about an event today. This seems silly to even post about since it’s such a superficial problem which is probably part of the reason I’m upset with myself for getting upset.

I got up early this morning and went to Sam’s Club to buy an inflatable water slide for my kids that I saw there last week. It’s expensive so I didn’t buy it when I was in the store last week. I thought about it throughout the week and decided it was a good purchase for the family, especially since we’re trying to be ‘socially distant’. When I went back this morning, it had completely sold out. I checked 2 stores. I then started looking online and all of the water slides are 2-3x the cost of the one from Sam’s.

I am so mad at myself for not buying it last week. I hate that I let down my kids and didn’t move quickly enough. I want my kids to play outside this summer which will be tough when it’s really hot. I keep looking online for other options and they often sell out before I can show my husband and decide whether to buy it. I feel like there’s so much pressure to buy something quickly since it may sell out but it’s hard for me to spend $400-$500 at a moment’s notice without really thinking through the purchase.

Anyways, I am so upset about it since I had gotten my hopes up and also feel silly for being upset about something so superficial…
