I have realized that anxiety is one of my indulgent emotions. I go there often, I go there quickly and I can get stuck there. My plan for not indulging in anxiety is to say “stop” firmly in my head whenever I notice myself going there followed by another thought such as “I choose not to waste time thinking about imaginary circumstances” or “I focus on facts and facts alone” or something else more uplifting. Some days I have to do this a lot of times. Any other tips for not indulging in anxiety?
