I have a physical disability that, along with my weight, has kept me from being able to travel alone for years. Now that i have lost 125 pounds and drive with hand controls in a new car, i am wanting to make a 7 hr road trip for a retreat for several days. I still have limited mobility, but do get around SO much better with the weight loss.
Heres the question: my brain goes crazy with “what if” questions and scenarios of all the things that could go wrong while traveling alone: car issues, handicap accessibility issues, etc. All of these thoughts are generating fear which results in me not going.
Any suggestions on new thoughts or ladder thoughts that might get me closer to my goal?
Thank you so much!!!
