Awkward Face

Hi Coaches, so I’ve been struggling with a peculiar thing for the last 2 years or so.

Sometimes when I talk to people, my face feels awkward. I tend to focus a lot of attention on the way my face moves when I speak and when I’m just listening. I’ve noticed that it happens sometimes more than others, more so with women and more so in group settings.

I’m not sure why I choose to focus so much attention on this, but it’s hindering me. It’s stopping me from truly listening to the people and having real, present conversations. Sometimes I try to be mindful of my thoughts when it’s happening, but I find that it doesn’t help much.

I would love to get your thoughts.
