Because of COVID, I did not go to one of my friend’s baby shower. Soon, another friend of mine is going to have one. I feel like I have to go to this one because we are much closer and I know that my mother will go. Besides, my other (mentioned first) friend will be there, too.

I don’t want to go, and I also think it would not be nice that I did not go to the first friend and now she will see me at this baby shower.
I know that she is going to resent me.
