Bad thinking!


Hi Brooke – tried to put my situation into 2 models:

C: 9AM and have a full day of study planned
T: The amount & content is scary / I don’t want to do it / Need to make up for Netflix binge on weekend
F: Fear, desire to withdraw
A: Seek joy / escape / distraction through food / make it a more ‘pleasant’ situation
R: Gain weight and have unenjoyable relationship with study

THEN…

C: I’ve written a model on the problem
T: I feel more in control / looking out for myself / understand my thoughts better so can reward myself with food
F: Content, proud, released
A: Eat
R: Gain weight

It’s frustrating that the contentment isn’t reward enough!! What could I do for an improved model?
