Re: balance of a emotion concept; wondering how to reconcile 50/50 when imagining a black woman born into slavery 150 years ago versus a white wealthy man living at the same time. You say that the ratio changes but the balance remains the same. I am struggling to see how those two existences would have experienced the same balance of emotions. Perhaps I’m conflating this with a quality of life issue but would like your thoughts. Thank you.
