My question is around becoming fat adapted. If I start incorporating IF as part of my daily eating and I lose a bunch of weight, if my eating window started becoming longer (for example: going from an 8 hour window to 10-12 hours), will I gain all the weight back or will I still stay fat adapted? Is fat adaptation all about IF or is it also about WHAT you are eating?
I ask because my biggest thing is that I don’t want to spend mental energy thinking “oh my gosh, I need to eat now or else I’m going to get kicked out of fat adaptation”. I am happy to focus on this for however long it takes to becomes automatic but my worry is that I’ll forever be a slave to the math of IF, which seems to defeat the purpose and is kind of like a different kind of diet, you know?
