Believe new thought

I am confused as to which belief to create for this month.
I want to believe “I have a happy relationship with husband.” This currently feels untrue and I feel apathy. Do I keep creating ladder thoughts to believe it a bit more every day? For example, my ladder thought today is “I am learning to love my husband.” It makes me feel committed. Result is I create some love for my husband.
Please let me know if this is the right process to follow.
