I was listening to the podcast episode on blame and realized that while I am pretty good with not blaming people for my feelings, I have consistently blamed a circumstance (my job – all of them) for feeling unfulfilled in life. Now that I have this realization, how do I use it to feel better? Unlike people (you can’t change them), you can change the circumstance of uour job. In the past when I jave changed jobs, I feel a bit better, but the baseline sense of unfulfilled is still there. Everything else in my life is great – family, friends, money – I don’t feel dissatisfied in any of these areas, just my job. So how do I know if I should be changing the circumstance or finding a different path toward fulfillment?
