Hello, During a recent call, Brooke was coaching about overdrinking. She mentioned that the caller had to be ready and willing to accept the boredom of not drinking and not fill that time with other things like going to the movies.
How do you see this time of boredom/no drinking playing out? In this scenario, I think she was at home by herself cooking. I’m imagining her sitting around, totally bored. No TV on, no finding alternate activities. Just bored. I’m pretty sure I’d fall asleep!
At what time in this process is it okay to fill in that time with other activities?
Thank you for any insight you might share.
