Boundary or threat?

Hi Brooke!
When my husband inherited a lot of pieces of furniture two years ago, our flat suddenly got so crowded that we could hardly move around… for months. Being the minimalist that I am, I was not happy. So I told my husband I couldn’t live in that flat any more. I told him I would leave if he didn’t get rid of what was useless. He got rid of it (but being the maximalist he is, he stored it somewhere else – that doesn’t bother me in anyway).
I know next month is about relationships and I’m looking forward to May. Indeed, I’ve been wondering all along: did I set a boundary or was it a threat? I feel kind of guilty I had to be ready to leave (my small suitcase was easy to pack). We would both have been unhappy. What do you think?
Thank you!
