Can you have a Manual for yourself?

I have rules in my head that say things like “I shouldn’t be late” and “I should be more outgoing” and “I should save more money” and “I should be flirty, but not too flirty” and “I should call my mother more” and “I should work harder”, etc. This could go on for pages and pages.

What can I do with these thoughts? Should I treat them like a manual?
