All the materials make sense re: unconditional love and the fact that our feelings are caused by our thoughts about the situation/ person rather than the actual facts, but I just can’t seem to actually feel unconditional love, either for myself or for the people who I have painful thoughts about. All the answers you give here make it all seem so easy – you don’t have to think that, just feel love for the person, choose a different thought etc. but I’m not getting there in my own thoughts. I am trying to find laddering thoughts like “I believe that I can become a person who shows up with love” etc but none of them stick – any advice?
