Coaching weight loss clients


Hello! I have a question on structuring my weight loss calls as a coach. I know it is important for the client to gain awareness of their thoughts & to distinguish the difference between thoughts vs facts. However, I’ve also played around with coaching free weight loss clients on creating their protocol in the first call. I wanted to see if coaching the client to create a protocol first (and following up after 1-2 weeks) can help me see what obstacles they are facing during those first 1-2 weeks. Then, I can see what to coach them on from there.

Do you recommend coaching on thought awareness first, or do you think it is also doable to coach on protocol creation first, then help clients see their obstacles and thought errors after they’ve tried to commit to a protocol?
