Hi Brooke and Happy Thanksgiving!
Since I lost 50 pounds through your Stop Overeating Workshop, compliments knock on my face door almost daily.
People who used to know me heavier and see me thinner for the first time are in awe. I had not known getting hits of compliments will be so pleasurable.
With time, as these people see me again, they don’t compliment anymore as they see me as this is how I am now.
I find that my brain keeps seeking opportunities to meet people who haven’t seen me for a while in order to get the compliment hit once again.
Mark Twain once wrote “I can live on a good compliment two weeks with nothing else to eat.”
Am I shallow to seek compliments?
