Hey Hi! I absolutely LOVE classical music. I started to play the cello 2 years ago (at age 56) and I absolutely LOVE it, though Yo-Yo Ma I am not. (I have an undergrad in Music so its not as weird as it sounds to take up cello at this point in life). I have noticed that I have music streaming in my mind all the time. When I am trying to ‘allow’ a feeling… my head fills with Beethoven or Mozart or the melody from my most recent cello study, presumably as a distraction. Great way to buffer but buffering it is! I have started talking out loud – as I cannot do both talk and stream music in my head – to allow my thoughts/feelings processes. Suggestions on how to turn off the volume?
