I’m having trouble constraining my thoughts and actions to my one big goal. I have other goals that I’d call “perma goals” such as losing the last 5 pounds, exercising every day, nailing down a permanent drinking plan that are all good things but I don’t want to apply mental energy against them right now. Just want to have simple one sentence things like, “Stay under X pounds” as my good-enough goal for now while I focus for the next year on my big goal. But somehow I keep getting pulled into thinking and planning for progress – not status quo- on these points.
