I’m a manager…my department has been short handed for a while due to an employee on FMLA who then resigned at the end of the 3 months. In the mean time, another employee has developed some negativity and is stirring up the staff, while also going on intermittent FMLA. Help from corporate (in the form of additional help or headcount) is always to slow to act. If I use the model on this situation, I can completely insulate myself and be ok with all their gossiping and complaining….I think. But as a manager, I’m trying to help my team grow together through these tough times. do you have any suggestions
