Creating a new thoughts – how specific do they need to be?

I’m doing my March SCS homework. In drafting new thoughts coming from my future self, and I am not coming up with really specific thoughts. They are more general: “I am crystal clear about my life’s purpose and my work fulfills that purpose, is challenging and rewarding”

I have been stuck for a year ready to leave my current job, but not crystal clear about *what* I want to do next. When I try to imagine my future self, I start to doubt I will find anything rewarding or fulfilling. (Sometimes, I have also been tied up by the ‘how’ question, and with the March homework, I do understand that the opportunity is to start with a new thought, a new “what” so that I can be 100% committed to it, and the how will come later).

So this thought, “I am crystal clear about my life’s purpose and my work fulfills that purpose, is challenging and rewarding” is not something I believe yet, and I want to, and I’m willing to keep working on for the next 30 days…. I am checking in to see if this is specific enough. Brooke’s example of “I want to make $100k” is pretty specific – it’s measurable. Purpose, challenging and rewarding and not so easy to tie down and check off as done.

I was going to ask for Live coaching from Brooke, but I’m a little worried that someone here in the Sacramento region will recognize me and be aware that I want to leave my current job, so I am shying away from going “live”

Thank you!
