Dealing with thoughts about the past that are impacting the present


I’m trying to do some work on thoughts on my past as I have discovered these are affecting me at present in my relationship with my child.

I was overweight as a child and just thinking about this period triggers very difficult thoughts for me, and I have noticed this is exacerbated and comes up a lot when it comes to my daughter and eating/weight.

As a result I am acting in a controlling way with my daughter’s eating and having frequent concerns about her weight which do not serve me or her.

I was wondering you could point me towards any worksheets, questions or other resources that could help me do this work?
