Deciding if I want to change a behavior


When writing about what works and doesn’t work in the relationship with my sister. I came up with the following observations.

1. I don’t like when my sister puts pressure on me.
2. My sister expects me to meet her desires which makes me want to distance myself from her.

I am similar to her in this regard in that I also want people to meet my desires and don’t like it when they don’t want to do what I want.
How do I address that?
For the most part I think that this behavior serves me and I’m not sure if I would benefit from changing it.
The only problem is when my sister puts pressure on me I don’t like how that feels, so why would I do that to others?
Whats the best way to show up when you “want” something from someone without putting pressure on them?
Any insights you can share with me?
