I smoked while I was pregnant with my youngest child, who is now 19 years old. He was born 2 weeks early and weighed just under 6 pounds. The guilt sometimes plagues me, especially when his behaviors seem like they could be related to fetal exposure. I quit smoking when he was four. How can I change my thinking about this past mistake? I’ve never told him this secret which also causes guilt.
